Peter Pan in Neverland

Description

I finally uploaded this thing!!
It took me forever to finish but I can say that I am pretty proud of it
I do think that I could do better if I would let go more during the process of coloring. So next time, I'll try to be more creative and spontanious ;) I often feel afraid to ruin the drawing if I put to much colours in it but I now think that I should do so to make it even more pretty :D

This is a random scene of the story of Peter Pan. Maybe a time before Wendy or just Peter flying around Neverland. I'd like to draw more scenes from the book. Like the mermaid lagoon or the home under the ground.

I am pretty satisfied about this drawing, the only thing that didn't really work with me was coloring the water. Maybe someone can give me advice for that? Maybe it would have looked better if I colored the sky in yellow-orange colours. It would be sunnier, happier and the water would stand out more.
I do like how Tink turned out. I wanted her to glow a little like she does in the movies, but still keep the colours on her dress, skin, hair etc.

I'd love to read your comments so please leave a message if you want to :aww:

Amazing piece! The coloring and shading is masterfully done and adds depth and realism to the drawing. Especially like how you drew and colored Peter Pan, he looks like the epitome of youth <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>.

I think picking light colors for the water was a good choice; it draws the viewer's attention towards Peter, Tinkerbell, and the lush vegetation in the foreground and upper corners of the picture. The flowers and leaves look so real!

As for criticisms, the ship looks a little flat compared to the rest of the drawing, perhaps using a wider range of colors or different colors for the outer part and the deck would mediate that. Overall, I love your drawing & look forward to seeing more pieces from you~
